Lo studio ha l'obiettivo di valutare l'accuratezza di nuovi strumenti elettronici per la misurazione della pressione arteriosa in un gruppo di circa 500 anziani normotesi ed ipertesi e di verificare la capacità che essi offrono di identificare una condizione che colpisce circa il 10% dei soggetti anziani, la cosiddetta "pseudoipertensione".

Study objectives are the assessment of the accuracy of new automated blood pressure monitors in 500 elderly normotensive and hypertensive subjects and to verify the ability of these devices to detect "pseudohypertension", a condition which affects about 10% of elderly people.
